Operation Sport Transfer

Our undertaking to move my cat Sport from Springfield to Portland appears to be going better than expected!

He made the trip in the car with little meowing, just seemed to chilax in his carrier and enjoy the ride.

He has settled into his little room at the house, too.  I think he is happy to be out of the elements and to have more access to affection.

Sampson is intrigued, to say the least.  After a few more days we’ll bring them a little closer to an introduction.

Sugar has been wonderfully supportive.  She’s not had too many cats in her life, but she is warming right up to Sport and vice versa.

I couldn’t be more pleased with his progress!

I’m heading to Springfield shortly to pick up my boy, Sport.  He’s been living at the home I had there with Aunt KK, until I could bring him up to P-Town.  Now that Sugar and I have our own house, we can have him here. It’ll be an interesting transition.  He’s lived at 883 for 11 years.  Now he’ll be living with me, Sugar, and…a dog.  I’m certain Sampson will love getting acquainted.  I just hope ol’ Sport can handle it.  I am sure we’ll have our ups and downs, but I’m looking forward to having my boy with me again.  I miss him snuggling in on my lap for a nap. Wish us luck on the road trip and the transition to follow!

Sadly, Scout will not be making the trip to live in Portland.  She has gone missing some time in the past month.  I like to think that she went away peacefully at the home she knew and loved for eleven years.  Sport will miss you.  So will I.
