“ They recently made a porn movie, this is true, about Sarah Palin, and then the same adult actress, Lisa Ann, played me in a porn parody of ‘30 Rock.’ Weirdly, of the three of us, Lisa Ann knows the most about foreign policy. But I know the most about three-ways.

Sam, checking out Sport in the same room. Sport Transition, Stage 2:  Yes, that’s Mr. Sampson in the same room as Sport.  We began introducing the two of them with scents, then face time through a window, working up to looking at one another from afar in the same room (with leashes on for control).  We gradually let them get a little closer in ensuing same-room visits.  We thought it would take longer, but tonight we decided to let Sam be in the room off-leash, while Sport was on my lap. To both boys’ credit, they did well!  Sure, it wasn’t totally relaxed for any of us, but Sam eventually settled down enough (for a minute at least) to lie down! Both Sugar and I are thrilled with their progress!

Operation Sport Transfer

Our undertaking to move my cat Sport from Springfield to Portland appears to be going better than expected!

He made the trip in the car with little meowing, just seemed to chilax in his carrier and enjoy the ride.

He has settled into his little room at the house, too.  I think he is happy to be out of the elements and to have more access to affection.

Sampson is intrigued, to say the least.  After a few more days we’ll bring them a little closer to an introduction.

Sugar has been wonderfully supportive.  She’s not had too many cats in her life, but she is warming right up to Sport and vice versa.

I couldn’t be more pleased with his progress!
